I bought this workbook a bit too soon for my granddaughter but we did some of the pages. I thought it had a lot of different ideas and hopefully we can do more in the near future. I will probably look into purchasing a grade one math workbook soon too.

Great workbook. My son enjoys his reading work book.

My son is 6 and he is starting to read on his own. We have been enjoying working with this book, it’s a great way to review or learn more about short and long vowels (with a consonants combinations lesson in between), vocabulary and reading comprehension.I’ll recommend extra practice (either in a paper sheet or white board) per each lesson to reinforce what your kids have learned.

Am using these workbooks with my Kindergarten twins.They're able to read the directions any comprehend 90% of them but some are not clear and would benefit from simplification. Bottom line, I'd buy it again and find it worthwhile. would benefit from simplification. The material isn't very challenging but helps keep their skills sharp. I can't be happier with ALL KUMON 1st grade books. I work with my 6.5 year old son as a supplement to his school work. He actually enjoys his homework. Each lesson gently prepares him for the next milestone. I like the way the books are structured.

The basic layout is the student reads a passage and answers question for comprehension. The main focus is sequencing and vocabulary. It's ideal for honing those first grade reading skills.

Most of my students read above grade-level. The Kumon workbooks help improve comprehension & vocabulary.

My daughter has progressed very well using this as part of her home-school curriculum. We are very glad that Kumon has these workbooks available for us to use. They are a great resource for us. We also use Kumon Word Problems and Geometry & Measurement for math and recommend it as well.

I bought this book for my 6 year old daughter who is in the first grade. She works very independently using this book. The instrustions are kids friendly, so they don't need to much help from us parents. This book reinforces some of the stuff your child already knows and builds on them , while pushing your child forward in the right direction. My daughter has learn so much from using this book. I just love love this book because it does what it supposed to do which is help my child read.This book consists of these exercises: Short vowels, long vowels ,Consonant Combinations, Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension. Your child will be matching pictures to the correct words, completing rhyming phrases, connecting words to the correct picture, writing words with the same ending and circling words that matches the picture. The reading consist of several short passages, which your child will read and then answer several questions about what they just read. Overall this is a great book for kids to work on their own and then use the answer sheet to the back of the book to correct their own mistakes. I highly recommend this book to home schoolers or to reinforced what child is learning in school.

Worth every penny as a follow up to Tony Evans book Kingdom Man. This will help you implement and unpack the role of a Kingdom Man. Don't just read the devotional. Take time to answer the questions honestly. Rewarding without the Kingdom Man book. The cover is beautiful and durable. I took this with me every day to work for 90 days and pulled it out of my bag periodically to meditate on the words I read first thing in the morning. I got more value than I actually paid for.

This is a pretty good devotional. I'd rate it higher if each day's devotion had a specific scripture tied to it. Many of the days do not even mention a scripture passage. I would categorize this devotional more for men early on in marriages more so than men who have been married awhile. I did like how the author brought stories from sports into the devotional which were interesting and compelling.

The are many men who have been raised in single parent homes by loving mothers but absentee fathers. Others have been raised in homes where the father was present but was both verbally and physically abusive. In both cases there is a great deal of insecurity as these young men were lost in regard for what it means to be a man. The author of the book, Tony Eveans, shares his testimony about his father who at one time was an alcoholic but came to know Jesus as his savior and Lord. As a result the Bible revealed to him what a godly man looks like and became a model example for his son, Tony, to follow after. His book gives a good Biblical blueprint for becoming the man that God created us to be. I highly recommend that all men read it and follow the instructions in blueprint. It will bless you in ways that you didn't think possible.

I recommend the book to all men young or old. If men take to heart what’s laid out in this book and pass it on to future generations, we may be able too turn the tide in our family’s and then the church and then our communities and then the nation. Men get started and take you rule seriously. Thank you Dr Evans for writing this Devotional. I have shared it with other men and my family on some parts men and women. I have been married for 38 years to my precious bride and we have thirteen children and nine grandchildren. I am still a work in progress, but I am enjoying the Journey.

I know very little about cars and am interested in saving money to get my old girl on the road. She will be a daily driver but, still needs a LOT of work. Just the information on how to remove the front fender, and where the "hidden" bolts are located saved me a lot of hair pulling. As an introductory first read to this subject, number one so far.It takes you through the identification, purchase, dis-assembly and reassembly of a classic mustang. It gives hints, tips and advice on some common issues that you may face when taking your purchase home to begin the process of rebuilding this vehicle.However, if you are seeking a book that shows you everything, this is not that book. This book, used as a starting point is perfect. It will show some tear down of some components but, not all. I am very happy with the purchase and feel I made an excellent purchase. Lots of good photos, explanations, and cautions that I would otherwise have missed since I am new to this dragon called restoration.It will not make you an expert. It will make you a new-pert and give an experienced restorer's viewpoint of what it will take to fix up a car that is already past the 45 year old marker.Even if you only plan to have someone else do all the work, it will give a general idea of what they are telling you. May help you save your project the way you want it saved.

This seemed like a good book for a 1st time restorer, but once received, it was discovered that several items we were looking to fix weren't included (Fuses, wipers etc)Not for beginners

This book attempts to walk you through a restoration but fails due to the huge amount of information as would be really necessary to accomplish what needs to be done. I like it because generally, there is enough information to get you started and aware of possible issues you might encounter but not necessarily accurate due to the differences between model years. Regardless, it does touch on many aspects of restoration to give you a starting point for your own research.

This manual is best described as a very basic introduction to restoring cars in general, and vintage Mustangs in specific. If you are purchasing it as a primer on what to expect during a rebuild/restoration then it is both entertaining and informative. If you are buying it as a shop reference, then it isn't really going to be worth your while. Probably the most informative parts are right in the beginning where the author describes common problems found on unrestored cars and what to look for when shopping.Also, being written 24 years ago, the techniques presented are somewhat outdated (there are easier ways to do some of the things described in this book). There are also no more piles of Mustangs to be picked over in local scrap yards, they were either snatched up, destroyed, or rusted away long ago. An updated version of this same book that talked about dealing with internet vendors and new made replacement panels would be much more useful.

Very informative. Novice mustang mechanic, and I bought this book hoping it would help. It is a bit more useful than the standard how-to car books, plus it has more photos!

This book was a gift for someone who enjoys restoring his Mustng. He said it was perfect for him. It must suit his capabilities. It is a highly recommended book.

I am restoring a '67 Ford Mustang and am a woman, so I wasn't totally sure where to begin. This is a great, and inexpensive, handbook, which has the very best inclusive section of Mustang parts dealers around, from coast to coast. I love the "old" look of the handbook, with the NEWEST and best of information and a great place to point a beginner.

About the Author

Charles W. Therrien was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He received both undergraduate and graduate (MS, Ph.D) degrees in electrical engineering from MIT. He was a member of the technical staff at Lincoln Laboratory from 1971 to 1984 and then moved to the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. During his more than 20 years there, he taught courses in systems and signal processing and authored three books, as well as numerous papers, in these areas.

Murali Tummala is a professor in the department of electrical and computer engineering in the Graduate School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. Since 1986, he has taught and conducted research there in the areas of computer networks and signal processing systems. He received his Ph.D from India Institute of Technology, Bombay in 1984.
